for the kiddos

Children are born with an innate sense of who they are!

As they grow, life experiences influence and often challenge

their sense of belonging in and of the World.

"For the kiddos," is a sacred space to help guide children and their caregivers toward a way of life that normalizes loss and death. Creative, open-ended, conversation based resources are designed to encourage confidence in personal legacy as a strategy toward resilience when loss and death are experienced. As resilience develops, the awareness of their unique contribution to the World, grows too. Recognition of personal value offers opportunities to see value in others, leading toward an increased sense of belonging. All of which, deepens connections and strengthens relationships.

Children who believe in themselves and have a profound sense of belonging learn to embrace death and loss as a natural part of life to be expected and explored confidently.

Children are more aware of loss and death than they are given credit for. Hiding loss and death does not protect them - it only increases fears. The “Dying | Death | Grief” guide offers insight into experiences of loss at different ages and supportive responses to help reduce suffering throughout the grieving process. Children look to their caregivers and peers for support when fear and insecurities creep in and they are hyper aware when their "people" are suffering. Encouraging them to participate in these conversations, as they are able - builds confidence in themselves and others abilities to move through these times.
